Merry Widow
Merry Widow is a downtown Mobile cocktail bar and event room tucked into the eastern entertainment district. It is the smallest confirmed room in this run so far, the kind of close-quarters stop where the bar, stage, and line outside all become part of the same sighting.
// prior contact
Falkville and Fyffe, upstate
Alabama's UFO record sits upstate but it is still the state's record. On October 17, 1973, Falkville police chief Jeff Greenhaw took four Polaroids of a silver-suited figure on a county road, then chased it through a field until it outran his patrol car. Sixteen years later, beginning in February 1989, the town of Fyffe logged a six-month wave of low-altitude triangular sightings that briefly made it Alabama's self-declared UFO capital. Mobile holds the coast end of the same state.
